Validation spreadsheets and updated drilling diagram for the CD Spot Welder
A zip file containing two .xlsx format spreadsheets with calculations and information used to validate the Capacitor Discharge Spot Welder design.
These are not required to build the Spot Welder but might be of interest to readers.
We're also including an updated version of the front panel drilling diagram as a download because the original had some errors.

IRFB7434(G)PBF N-channel high-current Mosfet
A very high-current N-channel Mosfet with low on-resistance in a standard TO-220 package.
Its ratings are: 40V 195A (1270A peak) 1.25mΩ on-resistance with ±20V Vgs rating.
The model number of parts supplied might or might not have a G in it but as far as we can tell, the devices are identical and this just represents a change in the labelling scheme.

Capacitor Discharge Welder Power Supply PCB [29103221]
The Power Supply PCB for the CD Welder. One is needed per Welder. This is also available in a partial kit of parts.
Double-sided PCB with plated through holes, solder mask and silkscreen overlay.
150 x 42.5mm.

The Control PCB for the CD Welder. One is needed per Welder. We don't offer a 'hard-to-get' parts shop item for this section of the CD Welder, just this PCB.

The ESM PCB for the CD Welder. 8-14 are needed per Welder (see the article for details). This is also available in a partial kit of parts.

Both layers of all three PCBs are in a single PDF.
They are coded 29103221] (Power Supply PCB), 29103222 (Control PCB) and 29103223 (Energy Storage Module PCB).

Hard-to-get parts & PCB for the Capacitor Discharge Welder Power Supply
A set of hard-to-get parts to help build one CD Welder power supply; see the parts list link below for details on what is included.
To complete the board, you need to add quite a few 'standard' parts like resistors, capacitors etc. See the article parts list for details.
Notes:
1) You will need multiple ESM modules (partial kit available separately), the Controller (PCB available separately) and sundry other parts, as detailed in the articles.
2) The photo shows the fully assembled module, including parts not included in this kit.
